Ah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

Hailing from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Anathallo is a seven-member band using instruments ranging from the guitar to the flugelhorn. With soaring lead vocals by Matt Joynt, happy-go-lucky riffs by lead guitarist, Danny Bracken, and a strong backbone provided by both drummer, Jeremiah Johnson, and bassist, Seth Walker, Anathallo's music is light, pleasant, earthy, and exceedingly creative. All members, also including Andrew Dost on piano and flugelhorn, Bret Wallin on trombone, and Erica Froman on clarinet, contribute to the vocal core of the band that makes Anathallo truly great (just listen to the "ah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah's" in "A Great Wind, More Ash"). Vocal and instrumental experimentation prevail in this wondrous music that can simultaneously make you feel like a fairy at sunset and a slow motion ninja... At least to me... Heh, heh... Lovers of Sufjan Stevens and Architecture in Helsinki, make room in your iPod for Anathallo.
