Snowden

Snowden, a foursome from Atlanta, creates fuzzy, electronic, pulsating, shamelessly remixed music that would fit in with a number of activities at a number of locations. Raving at a dance club -- "Anti-Anti (Treasure Fingers Remix)." Studying in the library -- the acoustic version of "Black Eyes." Crying over a breakup -- "China Light." One band fits all! Although perhaps mostly recognized for their dance/electronica feel, I fell in love with Snowden after listening to their acoustic songs. The acoustic version of "Black Eyes" posted below is a must listen-to. The versatility and the numerous dimensions that Snowden holds make the band a stand-out feature in any genre, whether it be indie, electronica, dance, or experimental.
Their latest EP, a group of remixes under the title Fuel of the Celebration, can be downloaded free of charge at kissatlanta. Lots of other mp3s can be lifted directly off their official site. Their music is readily available everywhere online, they're hitting up a ton of cities this year, and their albums can be purchased off their site as well as a ton of other music providers -- there's really no excuse for missing out.
