Taking their name from the Roald Dahl tale about an elderly gentlemen wooing the lovely lady downstairs with the help of a whole lotta turtles and a spell that goes, "Esiotrot, esiotrot! Teg reggib, teg reggib!", this group from Brighton, UK is all the more adorable as the story they're named after. I'd call these guys a septet, but according to their myspace, they grow in membership like a "big expandy thingy" and promptly break out into the aforementioned turtle spell. And isn't it true? These guys came together as a quartet in 2003, so they really have gotte reggib. They may even take after the tale as it seems their songs are about many a female admiration. So yes, Esiotrot might seem like a rather nonsensical name, but these kids are nonsense. Quirky, playful and childish in everything from their sound to their lyrics, their songs would pretty much have a twinkle in their eye if they could look at you. I wouldn't expect it any other way from a band inspired by sunny days. Evig a netsil ot Esiotrot...
