[The Mighty Narwhale]
"Hey! I'm right here! I'm right here!"

For anyone that's sent us an email, it might seem like we ignore you, but really it just takes us forever to sort through our email. We really do read it all...sort of. Why today I read an email (sent to us in January) from a brewer (of magic potions, meth, most probably beer) named Ben. It seems a song called Night Lights "smacked [him] right in the receptors." Prepare to get smacked again Ben, and thanks for teh reminder on the Mighty Narwhale! This - one, two, three... - septet from Grand Rapids, Michigan make up the Mighty Narwhale and up till now have only graced this blog as part of my mixes. Consider this your formal introduction - Reader, Mighty Narwhale; Mighty Narwhale, Reader. I usually make a reminder on here that, generally, any group over five members is never afraid to have fun, and these guys are no exception. Affording the musical luxuries of extraneous instruments and group chorusing from this member surplus, the Mighty Narwhale is just a good ole' time. Night Lights itself manifests as a bit of a nocturnal hide n' seek game with taunts of "Hey, I'm right here! I'm right here!" Feel free to hide, but hope these kids find ya...

Otherwheres - Those kids at Party Ends had such a good time at their first Stockholm Syndrome, they decided to throw another one. If you're in my area of Austin, Texas and the immediate beyond, head on over to the Elysium tomorrow night for a Swede, Swede night...

I saw The Mighty Narwhale live in Kalamazoo, MI and they were phenomenal! Only great things to come from this band! Great post!

Bret - If you're near where they are, then you're definitely lucky to be able to catch them. From what I know, those kids don't tour very far...

Morgan - It's good to be back! Still a little pathetic that our archives skips over a whole month. We even missed the blog's birthday :(
